Privacy policy
Effective 18 August 2026
1. Who we are
GroupWisdom provides the services described in this policy: this website, the Wisdom Agent for Buzz, and the GroupWisdom API. In this policy, we and us mean GroupWisdom. You can reach us at any time through the contact link in the footer of this site, and it is the fastest way to ask us anything about this policy or your data.
2. The short version
We collect very little on this website. In the product, we process what your group sends us, and only to produce insights for that same group. We never train on your content, never combine it across groups, and never sell it. Deleting really deletes, including from backups within thirty days.
3. What this policy covers
Four things: this website, the early access requests you send us, the Wisdom Agent for Buzz, and the GroupWisdom API. Where a developer builds their own product on our API, that developer is responsible for their own users and their own privacy notice, and we process content on the developer's instructions.
4. The website
Analytics. We measure visits in aggregate, without cookies. No tracking cookies, no advertising identifiers, no personal profiles. This is also why the site has no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
Forms. When you leave your email or complete an early access request, we receive what you type: typically your name, your email, your company or team, and your answers. Submissions are stored securely by the platform that hosts this site.
5. Early access requests
We use what you submit for one purpose: reviewing your request, replying to you, and setting up your access. We do not add you to marketing lists. If your request does not lead to access, you can ask us to delete it at any time, and we will.
6. The service: what enters
Group content enters only when it is sent to us: a member invites Wisdom Agent into a channel, or a developer posts contributions to the API. We never crawl and never reach into systems uninvited. In chat, the agent reads only channels it has been invited to, and never direct messages.
7. The service: what we do with it
For each group we keep the contributions it sent, a distilled memory of what the group knows, the outputs the engine produced with their sources, the records of why the engine spoke or stayed silent, and feedback such as 👍 and 👎. We use all of this for one purpose: producing insights for that same group and keeping them honest, for example withdrawing an insight when the message it relied on is deleted.
8. What we never do
We never use customer content to train models, ours or anyone else's. We never combine information across groups. We never show one group's content to another. We never sell personal data. We tune the engine on grades, helpful, wrong, or late, never on content.
9. Retention and deletion
Content stays until it is deleted. Deleting a message removes it from the group's memory immediately and triggers a proof check, and insights that lose their proof are withdrawn. Deleting a group deletes its contributions, memory, outputs, records, and feedback. Deleted data also leaves backups within thirty days.
10. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on performance of a contract for running the service you or your platform asked for, on legitimate interests for keeping the service secure, replying to requests, and measuring the website in aggregate, and on consent where we ask for it specifically.
11. Roles
For this website and the Wisdom Agent, we are the data controller. For the API, our developer customer is the controller and we act as a processor on their instructions, under a data processing agreement available on request.
12. Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run GroupWisdom: Anthropic as our AI model provider, under terms that do not permit training on customer content, the platform that hosts this website and stores form submissions, and cloud infrastructure for running the service. Each provider is bound by terms consistent with this policy. The current list is available on request through the contact link in the footer.
13. International transfers
Where data moves outside the EEA or the UK, we use recognized safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
14. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, and you can object to processing. Contact us through the footer link and we will answer within a month. You can also complain to a supervisory authority: in Finland that is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman, and you can always turn to the authority of your own country. We would appreciate the chance to fix things first.
15. Children
GroupWisdom is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child's data has reached us in error, contact us and we will delete it.
16. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we say so on the website.
17. Contact
Reach us through the contact link in the footer of this site. We read everything.
